Firebird modified doors

I have 2 pristine doors, doors had no rust and no dings, stripped down to metal, I have operating S10 door handles and modified the doors for it to work with the stock door internals. Doors were primed and painted with 2K urethane primer and then a coat of hot rod black (semi satin). Doors have working power windows and locks with good glass and again are in perfect condition.

Some mods also done were I removed the inner door supports (heavy bars and brackets inside the door to lighten the weight… they are considerably lighter than stock. They also have great door hinges with NO sag or anything. Only reason Im selling is I can't bear to drill GFX holes in them and Im going with full TA GFX on my formula.

Not looking to make a killing, but doors are sweet and took a lot of time to strip, mod and paint them.

Asking $100 a door, comes with keys. Ive removed roughly 20lbs from each door. Located in NJ, CAN SHIP but would rather not, purchaser should handle all shipping details and payment.

EDITS!!!
It has come to my attention that this AD is misleading slightly. The Sale of these doors DOES NOT include the interior door panels (mine are aluminum), DOES NOT include the door seals or the upper outside window Felt seals (these were brand new aftermarket that I put on and easily cost almost as much as the actual door Im selling) Im Selling just the complete working door with the S10 handles and matching keys, with Mirrors if you want (most likely electric from a donor door). Doors are all OEM original and your OEM door panels will still snap in and cover the little sheet metal screw holes to hold my aluminum panels on. Im running a 8pt roll bar and the door bars interfered with the arm rest brackets so you can swap yours onto these doors as well with bolts.

here they are on my car currently, S10 door handles really make the car sleeker

Re: Firebird modified doors

Well I removed them to lighten them up (about 20lbs per door) and since I have a 8pt roll bar i wasn't worried. The door itself is still solid and with all the other steel it doesn't seem like a whole lot of integrity was lost as it really just has a few spot welds at the bear claw and by the hinges.

Re: Firebird modified doors

Its not the integrity of the door thats concerning. Its the integrity of my ribcage in the event of a t-bone

Re: Firebird modified doors

Haha don't think they help that much. My father got T boned in his 86 TA by a minivan... he was ok but it sure wasn't that little tube in the door that saved his @ss. Lol.

Either way, door are solid in perfect condition and the bushings and pins have little wear. Need these gone for new doors

Just drill the holes...I don't see what the big deal is in drilling when you have already modded them..had to cut some holes to put the door handles in..what's a couple small drill holes gonna hurt? Lol

Re: Firebird modified doors

I did a write up on in the fab section I believe. Involbed cutting a large hole in the door, folding back some of the door skin for rigidy and welding 2 small mounting tabs as well as welding the smaller folded over door skin. Then the handles bolt right down. Figuring out the linkage is a different story but required modifimying the stockers to a shorter length.

I traded the convience of a cutting an S10 door up to weld in a large panel (more welding and bodywork) for a harder time in getting the door handle hole made but less body work and all original firebird door skin metal. It's a trade off which ever way u look at it.

Re: Firebird modified doors

Bump for ya.. If you reconsider shipping, let me know, I'd pay for the shipping and your asking price. Would also be nice to have pics on the interior side of the door.

You will need to swap your door seals over or purchase new seals which I see on ebay for $50 for both door perimeters and $50+ for new felts. Its a good idea anyways since most of the original door seals are shot and leak like crazy… so it would be a good time anyways.
