Hi, I am living in northern California and I am looking to trade my 82 recaro trans am for a 76-79 trans am project car that mainly needs detail work done. I would also be willing to part with it for the right price. Asking around $2000. Feel free to let me know about any other trades you have. Shoot me a price if you want to buy. The worst I can do is say no. I can email pictures, just ask.

I have had the car now for about four months and it runs very strong. It has the stock 305 v8 and when I took it in to the shop the other day for a compression check, I was told that the engine is still very strong. The car has a 4 speed manual trans. It has 4 fairly new tires with about 500 miles put on them, flowmaster exhaust, tune-up done 2 weeks ago, oil changed at the same time.

interior is a little rough right now but I am getting it all redone in April if it is not sold or traded by then. Paint is faded but is getting done at the same time as the interior.

Pics would help your cause. Are the Recaro seats still in the car?

The stock seats I believe are still in the car but I have only had it a short while so I ma not entirely sure what is stock and what is not. The seats have a PMD logo I believe.

I will post some pictures when I can but I currently dont have any way of getting them onto my computer because my camera recently broke. Thank you for the suggestion though.

If you have PMD seats in your car then it's NOT a Recaro edition.Also the fact that you mentioned you have a 4 speed in your car and 95% 1982 Recaro's have the Crossfire/200C combo.

I checked the build code online and it said it was a recaro. The seats are not the original seats I guess. Also, the transmission was switched out by the last owner so no, it is not a stock 4 speed.

yeah.....i must have a piece of the 5% too....maybe the prev owner of your car was going to make a kitt? that would explain the PMD's....what a waste of T/A's... kitt was a wuss!!!
