Thanks Pete,
Yeah figuring out what price was a hard one for me. It's hard to let a good car go too cheap and I seen a lot of hack job cars for sale for close to the same as I listed mine for. Price is not 100% set in stone though

Re: 1991 firebird formula L98 WS6
They never installed the 5 speed with the 350 V8, only the 305 V8 and 6 cyl cars got the 5 speed option because the 350 engine made too much torque and would break the T5 5 speeds
Also I guess you don't understand factory options and production numbers. Less than 1200 L98 (350 tune port engine) formulas was built in 1991.
Car has factory rear disc brakes, posi rear end, 3.23 gear, factory oil cooler, dual cat converters, L98 350 tune port engine, power windows, power door locks, better supporting seats, WS6 suspension package with much larger sway bars (front and rear), stiffer springs and better valved shocks,
So yes if it was just a run of the mill 305 V8 throttle body car then you are correct $2500-3000 would be about right, but that run of the mill 305 TB car has 75 HP less, 90 ft lbs torque less, drum rear brakes, and a very high 2.73 rear gear.
Guys are spending a lot more than an extra $2,000 to gain just the 75 HP

A car with these options will bring more $ With some minor body work it could be a jewel. This is a nice car with lots of potential and someone will buy it. I think it will atleast bring 4k. GLWS bro

Re: 1991 firebird formula L98 WS6
The mileage is what really kills it. If it had around 100k, it would be worth (for most people) the asking price. If it were painted, and if the interior wasn't as worn, then even with the higher miles, it may fetch close to 5k.
Even though the options make it rarer than others, it is still not rare. The TTA, is rare. You could get nit picky and option it down to every PRO code and claim just about all iterations of 350 formula cars are rare, seeing that apx 16 thousand a year were bought. Is my 89 formula 350 "rare" because only 3k were optioned like mine? I don't think so. The car you are selling is worth substantially more if it were restored, kept all the original parts, and if the miles were not so high. Most people that will be excited to see a factory manual, dual cat 350 would get it as an investment, and it falls out of the investment category with that many miles.
It is, however, worth what ever someone will pay for it, and the options are very desirable.
I'm my opinion, and of course we all know what opinions are like, and that everyone has one, and they all stink. .... is a fairer price is about a grand or so less. I'd be thinking 3400-3800.
If I were buying it, I'd expect an engine rebiuld, paint, seat covers and carpet in the next couple years, and that 4000ish dollar inevitably would factor in my budget. Food for thought. ...... And if you do get 5k, hays off to you, feel free to pm me back and say I was terribly wrong.

Not too far off truckerz. I really dig this car, just not enough money allotted to a purchase like this.

Re: 1991 firebird formula L98 WS6
I was just pointing out that your price seems a bit high, and the reasons why. I may be wholly incorrect, but I paid 2400 for mine, so my statement is based on actual purchase experience. I've owned these cars for 18 years, and I do know a bit about them as well
Originally, I meant no offense. ...sir, so I'm sorry if my intent did not translate through the text. I did not under value the car, nor did I intimate you were smoking crack like another poster. I just meant it as food for thought.

Re: 1991 firebird formula L98 WS6
Thanks guys. Yes this car does have ALOT of potential. I have been into third gens for a long time myself (about 16 years) and owned a few over the years (84 sc, 84 z28, 86 sc, 88 rs, 82 firebird). My '88 is the money pit I been working on for the last 12 years.
For an all stock car that was used as a driver (not just a show room car) this '91 formula is one of the nicer ones I have came across. Just got too many irons in the pot right not to keep it or I would.
The 180K miles is a bit high yes, but as we all know a well taken care of 350 sbc will go 300K miles.
I could part this car out and get close to or maybe even more than my asking price, but I would really hate to do that to such a clean car (for it's age and usage)

Re: 1991 firebird formula L98 WS6
All plastic trim, panels, door panels, arm rest are in great cond. Driver and pass. side. The only damage to any of them is the driver door sill plate where someone put rivets on the top rear part of it (shown in picture). No break that I can see.
CL has a 24 picture max, show I couldn't post everything I wanted to show case. I had 40 pics or so and had to pick out the 24 that I thought showed the most, even the flaws of the car.
I will be happy to snap a few pictures of door panels, arm rests and any other items you want to see, just let me know.
Oh also forget to mention. The car still have the factory alum. rim donut spare tire, jack, ratcheting lug wrench and even the jacking/how to change a tire label on the back of the panel.

Also added a vid of car idling and reving.
I also want to point out this car passed emissions in 9/3/13 when the PO got his tag. (I don't live in an emissions county so I never thought about posting up that info)

Re: 1991 firebird formula L98 WS6
Great car and its more than a fair price. I would change a few things right off the bat tho. (tips, stripes gone, correct center caps an air intake parts then just drive it)
Some questions that may help with the sale,.
Has it had a fuel pump put in without cutting the floor? (brand of pump?
Stock injs still ?
Has the distributor had and new parts installed and if so, what brand?
