1984 Trans Am For Sale $3000 in Roy Utah
1984 Trans Am For sale. $3000.
I am the third owner of the car. It has T-tops, 700r4 built by Randy's Transmissions in Grantsville, Utah and has less than 200 miles on it, runs and shifts like a champ. Rear rebuilt in 2012 is a 3.73 10-bolt with zexel torsen diff. 4-wheel disk brakes, 4th gen interior swap with minor tearing on the driver bolster. 3" Inland Empire aluminum drive shaft, Hotchkiss lowering springs, hotchkiss front and rear sway bars, spohn subframe connectors, ls1 fan swap (TPI Fans available with brackets), CC Qjet carb built by Cliff Ruggles. Tires with less than 1000 miles on them. 236/60R15. Hooker 2055 headers and new Magnaflow 3" catback installed this year.
355 Motor may need rebuild, found bearing material in the oil and i have almost zero oil pressure may just need new bearings. Still starts and runs, no knocking or the like yet. Motor has: World Sportsman II heads, Lunati 60121 Cam, Scat Rotating assembly, 9.3:1 SRP pistons. Unknown overall compression. 30K miles on the motor. It ran 262hp and 282 tq to the wheels in 2013.
Body is rust free except a little bubble rust just starting to form around some of the edges of a couple wheel wells and on the back of the trunk hatch. Underbody and frame are clean, just some surface rust. Never been in an accident. 154xxx or so miles on the body.
85-90 front clip and tail and ground effects have been installed.
Power windows, power locks, AC, Cruise, rear-defrost, power drivers seat, all work.

The motor went south on the drive back from the transmission shop in early July. I love the car, I don't want to sell it, but to all good things...
