'85 Firebird Drag Car. S/Pro-Pro-S/Street
Just finished this complete car from scratch in the summer of 2014.
Raced it a few times in 2014 and took a No Box winner check home, two runner-ups at Citrus Nationals in West Palm Beach. Ran it 10 weekends in Iowa and finished 4th in points in Box and 7th in No Box even after missing two races. VERY CONSISTENT, RELIABLE easy to race car.
This is my 12th race car I have built and could very well be the best, not the trickest but it turns on win lights.
You can see the complete build of this car in www.ETDragRacing.com. I called it "Project 10- The Hard Way". From the day we towed it into the shop until I was under the Tower at PBIR.
85 Firebird body, not cut. Stock floor. All metal. Real glass. Headlamp motors work, elec windows work, carpeted. 9" Ford, Strange axles and more.
Complete S&W roll bar with additional braces to rear shock mounts, swing out side bar, frame connectors.
QA1 coil-over conversion front and rear with QA1 tubular lower control arms.
S&W 9" Ford rear end with adjustable torque arm and trac bar. Tubular lower control arms.
Engine: 415" Chevy with new Dart block, Comp Cams belt drive, ATI Damper. Comp Cams magnum rockers and flat tappet with edm-drilled lifters. RHS 220 alum heads, Victor Jr, 850 Quick Fuel, MSD billet dist. Howards steel crank, 6" powder rods and Howards forged pistons and thick wall pins. Canton oil pan, Canton modified oil pump and pickup, DRE Engine Diaper.
Trans: Race Powerglide. Pro-Brake valve body, Kevlar band, billet adjuster, Race pump, alum pan. Zero issues with this trans and we have built a lot of them. BTE 8" Race converter (approx. 5800 stall).
Victory chromoly driveshaft, 9" Ford alum center with 4.10 gear, 35 Spline Strange axles and Strange billet rear disc brakes.
Completely rewired, fuel cell, battery and pump in isolated compartment with access from hatch. NHRA-IHRA legal.
New Red urethane paint, looks awesome, runs perfect and VERY LOW MAINTENANCE race car.
$17,500.00.
