FOR SALE 1987 Trans Am GTA 5.L TPI! Selling AS IS!
Hello all! Sadly the time has come for me to sell my bird. It's a 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA 350 5.7L TPI with automatic transmission, black exterior with tan interior. Selling AS IS. Manufactured in Van Nuys, this car has spent its entire life in the Southern California area according to Carfax. 153k miles on the odometer, with a brand new GM Performance L31-R vortec engine put in 1000 miles ago. Things that are new on this engine are: entire engine block, cylinder heads (replaced vortec heads with stock heads to keep as stock as possible) which include springs, rockers, roller lifters, push rods and all other components, all gaskets, valve covers, fuel injectors, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor, EGR valve, fuel filter, knock sensor, radiator fan switch, coolant temp sensor, intake air temp sensor, water pump, thermostat, coolant hoses, radiator cap, radiator drain plug, gas cap, new belts, new alternator, new battery, and new starter. New front brake rotors put on, brake pads are still good as well as tires. No check engine light or any warning lights at all. Car has factory optional digital dash. After market Pioneer stereo with CD player, USB/aux and Bluetooth. Pop up headlight motors work, power windows and power mirrors work. I have put in well over $3-4k of parts and labor into this car so it will last a long long time!
Someone recently backed into my car while it was parked on the street and damaged the paint on the front bumper near the right headlight, I will include a picture of the damage.
Unfortunately the car will not start right now, so I have to sell as is. Starter suddenly won't turn over, might be defective and need to be replaced. Sadly I cannot fix it right now since I cannot afford to keep it any longer and just need to sell it. If you are interested in picking up be warned that a tow is necessary.
Current tags are good until July 2017, just passed smog this month when car was running and won't need to be smogged again until July 2018. Title in hand! All paperwork has been taken care of.
