1840 Camaros were equipped with the quartz clock option (U35) in '84.

Just a word to the wise... be VERY careful with that 2nd hand if you screw with it. I'm on my 3rd clock because I keep breaking the damned thing. I broke it on my 3rd clock too.

The clock is adjusted by a stem that protrudes into the console. Lift the lid and the hole should be visible.

Ummmm..... guys 1840 is only about 1% of the camaro's made in 1984 not 10% so that might be just a little rare. But still, I was wondering if you could get this type of a clock with the ERS stereo system that had a digital clock on it??

Later, Garrett

I dont think so, I think the console clock only came on the Berlinettas and as part of the radio delete option

I believe the console clock was 'generally' equipped in cars with AM radio, radios which did not have the digital clock. You might do a search, as this thread was covered in some detail previously.

Just like mine. What's unique about mine and JamesC's is that it came on a car that was otherwise fully loaded. I'd be willing to bet that you could count on your fingers how many IROCs came fully loaded but with that clock. James's isn't quite as loaded as mine just due to the LG4, where mine was an LB9, but in either case, it boggles me how somebody could order a car with power everything and an am radio. of course, whoever ordered mine didn't get it with posi either.

Mines an 84 Z28 and has this clock, so....
tilt cruise a/c power doors, t tops.
power hatch is about the only power item not in it, but its all getting torn out of it soon anyways,
am gutting it down to just the drivers' seat and the steering column and some kind of floor pan mounted shifter of some kind, am scrapping entire dash, and console, and all door guts and glasses and everything not needed in order to drive the car..

wheres this thread that covered this clock in detail at ? i cant find it ?

thanks!@

do all camaros have the power mirror switch on the door? I had always assumed that it was in the center console just like on the firebirds, which is why my IROC (which came with the clock) did not have the power mirrors.

Nope, they didn't, ya know where the manual lever thing is on the door panel to adjust your mirrors? That's where the power mirror switch is located if equipped with power mirrors.

Yes it would work.I installed console clocks in both my 86 iroc and 89 iroc convertible.
You splice into the radio wiring for power and illumination

Re: big quartz camaro clock in console ?

Ok so I would've bet both my legs before reading this thread that my 82 Berlinetta had the clock up on the dash. Its been 30 years ago I had that car so is my memory getting that bad or was a dash quartz clock ever an option?

Re: big quartz camaro clock in console ?

I've got 2 different clocks from Camaro consoles that I got years ago at the wrecking yard. The graphics are different and the hour and minute hands are different. Does anyone know what years had the different clocks?
