I was wondering what rpo TR9 might be. The reason I ask is that I found most of my build sheet for my 83 z28, and I noticed the TR9 listed on the bottom of the page. all it says is lamp group auxillary. what the hell is this? I was figuring it might be fog lights, but there are none, and there is no wireing where one might have left in case they pulled them out for whatever reason. If it matters any, this is a normal medium option 83 Z, with the power locks, hatch, windows, tilt, ac, crossfire ect. The only relatively rare option the car has is the G92, which according to many sources is only 1 in 1009. If anybody knows that TR9 code let me know. thanks!!!

RPO-TR9 is the auxillary light group which also includes the underhood light,luggage compartment light,dome light with reading lights and the headlights on reminder.Fog lights weren't a factory option until '85 and then just the IROC package had them(that may have changed later).

My '83 CFI Z28 also has the G92 performance axle ratio option which,for the LU5/700R4 combo,was 3.23.Does your '83 also have the G80(limited slip) and J65(4 wheel disc brakes)?Would your '83 happen to be a Van Nuys or Norwood car(mine is Van Nuys)?

Mine is a van nuys car as well. what is really stupid is that it does has the g92 3.23, but no j65 or g80. It does have all the lights; dome, map, reading, headlights on reminder, ect. It was sold in Coffeyville Kansas by perl chevrolet buick.
