1991 IROC-Z it this rare?
hello, I have a 1991 IROC-Z. The camaro was manufactured in May of 1990 and it has all the 91 features, but it also has the IROC-Z decal on the side. It came that way from the dealer but is it a true IROC, or do you think the dealer added those decals later? Could mine be a production hybrid with the official IROC decal installed at the factory before the GM/IROC agreement went sour? All the information on the internet states that the IROCs ended with the 1990 model year. Does anyone know how rare this is? It has the 305 LB9 engine and G92 3.42 rear axle with the 5 speed manual transmission and AC. vin: 1G1FP23F3ML125475 thanks everyone.

No 1991 Camaro IrocZ's produced. That's means we need to do some digging to see what your '91(?) really is.
Lets start with the VIN. The Vin's date is what's important here, not the manufactured date. Check the VIN's tenth digit. L=90, M=91
Next check the SPID label (RPO decal). First verify that it's VIN matches the one on your car. Then look for the RPO Z28 (which it should have since your VIN's eigth digit is an "F" for the LB9 engine).
Z28 + L = Camaro IROCZ
Z28 + M = Camaro Z28

Unless we're talking about a pos k-car Dodge Daytona, there is no 1991 IROC...sounds like someone put a decal on the door wishing Chevrolet hadn't dropped their sponsorship that year.
