It looks like casting flash that the tumbler didn't remove. Technically, that would be a defect. I hope it's rare (if it's not, then we need to have a chat with our factories about quality control)

In English- after a diecast body is molded, it'll have "flash" and other areas of imperfections on it. this is small amounts of material that leak past the parting lines of the tools, or could be where the material was inserted in (gates). The diecast parts are usually placed in a "tumbler" -big bins that vibrate with abrasive bits (stones, I think) inside. these sand the edges and remove the flash, sharp edges, etc. From that, they go on to painting, deco, assembly, etc. It should have been caught and thrown back in the tumbler, but, sometimes it doesn't and makes it way out the door.

I agree those short cards are HTF for the Camaro.But I did find the BTTF Delorean on the short card at Wal mart.Hopefully I can find KITT on a short card.LoL

I have been looking for one for months. Today, I saw the '73 Camaro in short-card packaging, in both red and green. So I knew the IROC must be out there...somewhere. I stopped at like 7 stores, and finally found one. I'm gonna look again tomorrow. I really want a black IROC in short card packaging. In other news, I am yet to find the KITT T/A. My wife thinks I have gone off the deep end.

No luck finding any of the black irocs up here yet or the short cards of any of the versions. I have run into a few hardcore collectors though. I saw one guy buy what looked like 3 unopened boxes of all the hotwheels before they go on the shelves. The store manager was handing them over to him. Then there was 2 seniors husband and wife team going with their binder full of spreadsheets on what they had and what they needed. I think I was lucky to find the red ones when i did.
