Re: R7U - 91 Players Challenge Car at track today

Strange production number stat ... his car is 1 of 23 made. Camaros were 97. So no idea where his 93 is from.

Very cool to see the car used at a track ... back home so to speak.

Re: R7U - 91 Players Challenge Car at track today

I did not talk to the owner. Just took the for sale pic for info in case anyone here is interested in contacting him. 608 is a Madison area code.
Car had no visible rust or panel dents.
Yes, cool to see it out and about on the track.

That has always been the plan for my 1988 ... back to the track ... decals and all.

So did the R7U come with the same equipment as a 1LE?

Kent is asking $32k for the car & it has 53,000 km on it if anyone is wondering.

Very cool car!

32K seems a little high but then a few years back 20K seemed high.

R7U was a marketing package for the Player's Challenge Series. It included 1LE as well as some other specific option for the series. Some of the odd things were power windows and locks. FWIW, Player's series cars made up the bulk of the 1LE cars in the early days.

Mark.

Re: R7U - 91 Players Challenge Car at track today

He had to change the injectors and pulled the intake to do so. Not really opened, but not truly sealed. To his credit he was very forthcoming about it and has made no attempts to touch up the paint.
