87-89 GTA/TA History Question

I've looked around a lot, and maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but it seems there just aren't any 3rd Gen Trans Am's or GTA's that came with both the digital dash and the t-top. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen one. I'm looking into possibly replacing a long lost 1990 Formula with a TA or GTA so equipped, but to this point I think it might be a Great White Buffalo and may not actually exist....

Anyone seen/have one?

Yes, both options was available together. I have one with factory T-Top and factory digital cluster on my 1988 Trans Am. It was also available on the GTA.

You likely won't find a 1989 since 1988 was pretty much the last year for digital cluster. It's also more difficult to find one with the 350 because of the restriction 350/T-Top combo in 1988 and 1987 (except for Canadian export).

No figures are known on how many came equipped - combination wise.

Re: 87-89 GTA/TA History Question

The one exception to the rule would be if the car went to C&C for a t-top conversion and was a 350 gta hardtop with the digital dash but I've never seen one myself.

Just a little history, The Digital Dash actually became available in 86.

Re: 87-89 GTA/TA History Question

Well I wouldn't demand the 350, that's not a deal breaker. I think I knew that about the '86, in fact didn't the digi-dash start in late '85? Either way, maybe I can find one in decent shape with the trifecta of the digi-dash, T-tops and 305 TPI. One can always drop a 350 in later, if a nice L98 can be found for something less than the Lindbergh Baby's ransom....

Thanks all!
