What brand is the stock head light from a 1989 Iroc?

It dawned on me as I was swapping out my headlights on my 1989 IROC, that one or more might be original. I was putting in a set of 4 matching ones as I thought it looked better 3 matching. :-)

As much of my car is original, I thought maybe I should keep the headlights for that purest that wants all OEM parts.

Anyone have pics of a stock headlight that you can see the markings?

This is about the best I've found searching. Is this a stock light?

I've look high and low for a 92 . . . the factory head lamps typically did not have a "brand" on them, they are AC Delco . . . the only discerning marks I see on factory head lamps is the word "GUIDE"

The 1989 I believe the word was in the upper left corner . .

The picture you show looks correct to me.

Looks like this: ?

Guide is or was the headlight division of GM. But depending on the day of the week, alignment of the stars, etc Wagner or Sylvania sealed beams may have been used. I looked up all the part numbers for just the sealed beams, and entire headlight assemblies, and spent about a week searching on Ebay before determining that even NOS parts with the correct numbers aren't Guide sealed beams.

I've been hunting for a single Guide headlight for my convertible for a few years now, one of the originals has a small star in it.

It's not too far off, but i'm not sure what's up with the terminals on that bulb...

The one I need is marked Guide Halogen in the middle, 2A1 and Sealed Beam across the top, and the DOT number vertical on the left side. The star crack is a bit hard to see in pics, and in person, but knowing it's there bugs me. LOL

Sorry I thought you were looking for a Pontiac.

I too am looking for that holy grail.

No problem. The one under my skin is on my 91 RS convertible.

Both of my Firebirds have replacement lights. The beauty of a Pontiac is that no one will ever see the headlights. At least not in a manner they'll be able to read the branding.

Wonder if a windshield crack repair would work at all on a headlight lens...

Well I found a headlight at the local swap meet ... it is a GUIDE, but NOT a halogen! Drat. I still bought it.

Sooooooo if anyone needs an original Guide non-halogen bulb (high beam) ... PM me. No good for me.

Mark.
