Car: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro
Engine: 355 chevy
Transmission: t-5
Axle/Gears: 3.73 disc brakes
behind the dash
so im changing my car from auto to a stick and i need to get at my brake booster and pedal assembly, but there is alot of stuff up there what is ok to remove so i can access this area. and will my standard pedals just bolt up or is alot of drilling required?

assuming this is for your 89, you can actually use a pedal assembly from a 4th gen and they bolt up without modification. Or, you can use a 3rd gen if you can find one. The only thing you will want to do is wire up a cluthc start switch so you don't start the car in gear. Other than that, everything is very simple. You can leave the shift lock cables under the carpet or do whatever you want with them. You will obviously have to remove your boost to install the hydraulic clutch assembly. This needs to be near perfect since you don't want the clutch master cylinder to be at an agle with the clutch pedal. This was the hardest part of my swap.

hmm good to know, and ya pretty much all i gotta do left is, motor mounts, clutch, and put motor and trans back in then paint but this was slowing me down, and doesnt help ,my drivers seat is rusted in and cant get it out

When I did my swap it helped for me to drop the steering column. There is no drilling required to just install the pedals for a 5 speed. For me it was the worst part of the whole T-5 swap was to install the pedals and install the master cylinder.
