To clean or dye?
Got a good lead on some 4th gen seats for $100, might pull the trigger.
Do you think cleaning or dying would be better. If I dyed them, how have others turned out?

Re: To clean or dye?
I did some carpet and interior panels on this thread but never done seats.
Do you think they are worth 100 and would turn out OK?

Re: To clean or dye?
id jump on those. Coming from some one who searched for awhile for reasonably priced 4th gen seats, $100 is a great price for those especially being a black(ish) color. Depending on the die your talking about i would not D.I.Y. these seats. parts store spray can will leave a rough texture on the fabric. I would personally take the covers to be professionally dyed or leave the seats as is after a good cleaning.

Re: To clean or dye?
Just clean up the seats.
Nylon hand brush and some "Folex". I used Folex to remove the stains on the doors of my old TA and worked amazing. Just like new.

Re: To clean or dye?
So I decided to pull the trigger and bought the seats. I had to drive 3 hour round trip, half tank gas, $10 tolls, and $100 later the seats are mine.

Re: To clean or dye?
So, I am really thinking about doing some sort of rear seat delete, and the guy wouldn't sell just the front seats any cheaper, so since I might not use the back seats, I am going to experiment and dye them.

Re: To clean or dye?
This is with SEM Carpet and fabric dye, one light coat. I am going light coats so the fabric doesn't mat and get ruff.
