Quick Fix Tip: Stuck Center Console Lid / Glove Box
I've got an easy way to fix a stuck Camaro console lid / glove box. I couldn't get the screw driver trick to work so I took some stiff wire, maybe 6 or 8 guage?, looped it under the button and lid, checked with a flashlight and by holding up the lid on either side that I was lined up on the button, then from the back seat pulled straight back until the lid was released! Worked like a charm and didn't break or scuff anything. I recommend wearing gloves as protection from the wire (had to pull quite hard on mine).
Hope this saves someone from a headache in the future!

There is a spring inside which can break or get jammed up.

Take the old spring out and put in a new one of same or similar type. Mine messed up twice, so I'm going w/o a spring now and it's way easier. the lid still stays shut while driving and doesn't vibrate and is easier to open-- so I'm done with springs.
