SEM Light Sand Gray color code
Just wanted to post some info for those that have the light sand grey interior (cuz I had trouble finding this info myself). After trying several off the shelf grey colors that just didn’t look right, I broke down and got the SEM Color Coat mixed to the factory color. The SEM Color Coat code is #3006 and I got it from this place: http://www.vinylpro.com/ $80 for 3 cans of the custom color (plus some more for the prep and cleaner), but well worth it to have the original color.
One thing that took a lot of extra time was sanding down the sun damaged areas, especially the trunk plastic. Lost the texture to the plastic in those areas, but had to sand it down to get to an undamaged substrate for the paint to stick to. I definitely needed all three cans of color; if you’re painting over pieces that are dark and not the original light sand grey, you’ll probably need more than that.
