Ignition switch wiring help

I'm trying to find what the dark green wire that plugs into the ignition switch does. It's a 86 camaro.

Re: Ignition switch wiring help

Looks like the green wire is coming out of the column connector. If it is that's right rear turn signal.

Both turn signals work on the outside of the car. And my wiring diagram shows the right rear being dark blue

Re: Ignition switch wiring help

I could have sworn it was connected to the coolant gauge. I had everything marked and my little boy pulled off some of the tape that had the writing for what it was and lost them. So that's why I'm in the dark. I appreciate it

Re: Ignition switch wiring help

You might want to ohm it , coolant temp is a small green wire too.

Re: Ignition switch wiring help

Well I found it. I had cut all my gauge plugs off and marked the wires. Well my little boy took off the tape that had my markings. Well I found my plugs and sure enough the dark green coolant wire is tied together with the dark green wire that goes to the ignition switch

Re: Ignition switch wiring help

You can push down the metal and pull them out the back. Iirc the cavities are marked.
