LS1 T56 MASTER/SLAVE, SWAP PARTS
Looking for a good, used master and slave combo.
Also, interested in an input shaft and front cover plate that's not beat up.
Let me know what you have.

Re: LS1 T56 MASTER/SLAVE, SWAP PARTS
I've already got a bead on an input and front plate for under $300, so that's the route I'm going to go with. Instead of trying to modify something to make it work, I'm going to put the correct parts on to make it work.
Thanks though.
Thanks though.

Good price. Nothing to modify though. Any aftermarket throw out goes rite on there. As far as I know factory ones too brother... I have a weir I the bellhousing is so much better then factory. U should check em out whole kit is bolt on and no issues at all.

Right now, this is a budget build (Which is turning into not-so-much-a-budget build). I'll be putting money into it later on down the road when I go TT, but for now stock is more than enough.

boy do I hear you on budget brother kind of why I mention the we're kit you can use a regular flywheel and clutch assembly instead of going with the lt1 reverse stuff the flywheel alone for an lt1 reverse is as much as a clutch and flywheel assembly for a regular 11 inch it cost a little more out the box but it pays for itself in the end just an option for your brother food for thought have a blessed day

If you could do a little step by step process of how you do this I think members of the site would be interested. I have an lt1 t56 in my car now and am in the market for an LS engine. I would be interested in seeing how this works out for you. If you could do pictures and description I am sure members of the site would appreciate it.

Re: LS1 T56 MASTER/SLAVE, SWAP PARTS
There is almost no difference between an F-body LT1 T56 and an LS1 T56. Really, it's just the input shaft and midplate. The only one that is different is the 93 version, and it's not recommended anyway.
Honestly, I wasn't going to mess with it myself. I have a guy who will swap it over (and has done hundreds of conversions) for a good price. I haven't made up my mind yet, though.
Here's the article that gives the walkthrough. http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/ght...n/viewall.html

Hey thanks man, I just found this article too. If you don't mind me asking how much is he going to charge you to do the changeover?

Re: LS1 T56 MASTER/SLAVE, SWAP PARTS
Something like $50-75.
Now, keep in mind you've also got to change to the LS bell housing, and the master/slave combo. All told, even swapping parts I'll be under $1200 for a low mile LS T56. I traded my T5 setup + $600 for the trans itself. Another $300 for the input and midplate, then another $100-150 for the hydraulic parts.
