Not much excitment going on here, just little bits of progress. Got the HVAC out, and just need to un-bolt the inner portion of the box from behind the center area, then it is coming out too. I think next weekend I will have something to show... I hope?

I had to run a couple errands in the neighbor hood of Finishmaster, so I picked up some of my paint and body supplies.
I'm using the Holley LS swap mount system and it requires use of their Holley pan to clear the factory k-member.... well I'm in love with my fbody pan, so I'm notching my factory Kmember.

Re: BADNBLK's 91 Z28 LS1 swap... Long time coming
I must have really enjoyed wearing goggles today as I decided to cut into the fender bumps/bottle mount bumps and start working those down.
I chose to just cut an X across the 3 smaller bumps, and cut the center out of the larger bump on the drivers side. I slowly worked hammer and dolly in-ward, and went back with the cut-off wheel and opened up the area between the "flaps" as they came in contact. I found in a couple spots extending the relief cuts, or adding additional cuts made it much easier than fighting the spot with the hammer and dolly. I'll weld it up, and grind before going back with hammer and dolly finalized before filler. Once the lower drivers are welded I will cut into the much larger upper drivers bump and see what we can do.

Good eye... no A/C or Hvac in general at this time. Keeping it simple? LOL haha! I have a plan/dream on what to do with that in the future, but for now I hardly ever use the stuff to even wanna mess with it.

Well I got the pump and Hydra-mat put together. I didn't think that for one minute there would be no way to connect the pump to the hydra mat, but apparently its still too new?
So I had to modify a nylon 1/2" barbed fitting to fit over the intake fitting on the 255 pump. From there installed a NPT 90* fitting with hose barb end on the Hydra mat and connected with enough length hose to allow the hose to wrap around the back side to keep out of the way of the fuel level float. I had to remove the inner fuel pump bucket mounted inside the tank (PITA), but it is now layed down in the lower most portion of the tank offset to the passenger side.
Couple pics....

Thats cool. I would get rid of the rubber hose and replace with the corrogated plastic tubing for longevit, or teflon

My project for the morning was to finish making and installing the -6AN fuel line to and from the Corvette regulator assembly. Black line and fittings where I could use them
The billet line clamps are currently raw, but thinking about polishing them? Or just paint them black?

Re: BADNBLK's 91 Z28 LS1 swap... Long time coming
I did some horse trading for my old T56 and I ended up coming out of that pretty clean, and was able to score a set of "new" (never been driven in, but installed in a project car) Sparco Sprint seats.
I'm leaning to keeping them, and installing them for track days, but keep the custom leather for shows and cruising type stuff?

Looks AWESOME!! Dumb question, but how do you go from Hard line to the Braided? Do you need to convert the end of the hard line? Thanks

Pretty much, except I bought conversion fittings that didn't require any flaring of the tubing.

Conversion fittings? Awesome. So just look for conversion fittings for a 3/8 fuel line. Then run AN?

Most brands of fittings will offer a conversion fitting which will allow you to convert from the GM push lock barbed style fitting to an AN fitting, or a NPT thread to a AN thread fitting. Not sure what they had for fittings in 82, so do a little research on it, but most major brands will be able to get you what you need.

They are a pretty new release, but are a throwback to one of their early wheels. Who knows someone eventually will. The blue IROC is so not for sale... Think it won COTM a couple months back. Nortz89z my best buddy and Co worker.

Well I wasn't really planning on buying new wheels, but I did have a pair of brand new KDW2's set as side for an event this summer, so basically it will be getting BFG KDW2's and when these wear out we will work on putting a 315 of some variety on the back, or square it up? Not sure yet.

I was out from Thursday, so I lost a bunch of time on it. Bummed, but I will try and add A FULL day of fun this weekend to hopefully compensate
