New Rims for the 83
So...on a whim...I ordered a new set of rims and tires for the 83. Not sure what I was thinking, but I like chrome and I can always switch back; so I figured "what the hell"
Thoughts?
Old (with recently added red stripe)
New - 15" BG Old School Chrome w/ Falken 912 Tires. Pic isn't very good, but they sort of look like Torq Thrusts, but instead of rounded spokes these have a bit of a edge in the center of the spoke.

Re: New Rims for the 83
Depends, are you in Canada or USA?
For me; I live in Canada but am close enough to the border to ship them to the US and go pick them up.
If I were to ship them to Canada/directly to my door it would have cost close to $400. They wanted $270 to ship, and on top of that I have to pay my local tax rate of 13%.
Now in my case I shipped them to a drop-off point in Ogdensburg, NY that charges $20 to hold a set of rims/tires. Shipping was $32.00 from California, and again I had to pay taxes when crossing back home with them...but even so...in total it cost me $172 to do it that way. $230 savings...for about 2 hours of my time. Plus I filled my truck up while I was there...since gas is about 20% cheaper...so it pretty much paid for the trip there and back.

If I'm honest, I like the look of the old set quite a lot more. They flow with the styling of the car a lot better than the wheels you bought. My .02
By the way, I love how clean your ride is - very nice!

I do not like those stock wheels, but that red stripe makes them look alsome. That is one of the only time im gonna be able to say that a red stripe changed my opinion about a set of wheels.
