My 1991 Z28 over 17 years

pic from 2002. Chrome factory wheels and a stupid bra thing. headlight housing was red from previous owner.

2003 after I got juice hooked up.

I had a Lingenfelter kit that came with a TB air-foil and AFPR, and some plug wires I think. I took the sticker off later because it was lame.

2008. I took the spoiler off for a different look one summer.

2008. Made the headlight housings black with matte rattle-can.

I like the clean look on the hatch also.

Day at the Drags Earlville IA, 2008

1.78 60' time in this pic.

18x10 C6 wheels

2" drop in front. the rear didn't change much

front spoiler is afraid of the impending abrasions

147k and leaks a bit, but she runs strong.<br/>

Overall, its a fun car and made to be driven hard. Up close it's rough around the edges, but a head turner from 20 feet away. Its rough riding, crude and obnoxious but it doesn't try to be refined or luxurious. The nitrous puts it into a higher weight class as far as street battles and it can hang with most real world street cars up to 120mph. Even without the juice, it has a good TQ power-band below 4000rpm and is a good stoplight to stoplight instigator. I will list the mods and what they did for me once I look through my Camaro shoebox of timeslips and receipts. Stay tuned... here are some vids...

Nice looking car! I went threw that same no spoiler phase for a bit too. I put mine back on too. LOL Good job with the whole car though.

Re: My 1991 Z28 over 17 years

Thanks man! I checked out your ride on some other posts. You have the perfect stance with those bags. I always thought 20" looked to big on a thirdgen, but you pulled it off perfectly with it tucked nice in the wheel well. I wanted to bag mine but only had budget for springs. I got the dropzone -1.75 kit. It dropped the front over 2" (25.25" to fender lip) and it raised the rear 1/2"? I removed the isolators and cut 1/2 a coil which dropped it 1". I have -1" difference on driver rear to passenger. I think my chubby **** made the car lean over the years lol since I don't have a passenger often.

I got the side windows tinted today (The rear hatch defeated them). It was an 80 mile round trip and I topped the tank off before and after. I used GPS to log the miles and I was blown away to see 21.2 mpg!! 4.10 gears with a locker 9" and 700r4. wow

Thank you. I put off getting new wheels for years because the tires were so expensive for 17's and 18's. I remember when 16's were the big wheels on most cars. Now 17/18's are the norm and tire prices are reasonable. I really liked the chrome factory rims but they were starting to show their age. I was a little worried when I installed the 18's because the car sat so high and the small sidewalls made it look "donkish". Lowering it did the trick and put me at ease.

I think its time to retire my license plate and get hobbyist plates. I was 21 in 1997 and thought 2QUIK4U was so cool. Now I think its too cocky and I feel like a douche when me and my 39 year-old, beer belly body get out of it awkwardly lol. I can also imagine all the pics, FB posts, and meme's that would be created if 2QUIK4U ever broke down on the side of the road. This happened a couple of times before FB and camera phones and I got teased for weeks!
