Last Glorious 100 Mile Ride Of The Season
This weekend I drove my bird for the last time of the season. This week is bringing storm after storm to the midwest. By the time its over snow or at least salt will hit the road. I shouldn't complain. Last year it was over in early November. I knew this on my round trip run back and forth between work and home. Almost all of it is hwy miles.
Christmas time is never a good time on the road. Lots of distracted, slow driving grandparents and along with the normal crazies out there. But for what is probably my last drive in my Bird for the winter, it was a glorious drive each way. The car ran flawless, the traffic seemed to part for me as I went along. My favorite part of the drive with a couple of great curves and a long open road to end it, was wide open. It was the drive I always hope for, but rarely realize.
Just the memory to keep going through all that winter has to bring this year!
