Need advice. Any help appreciated!

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. Im new to this site. I need advice on what you think could be wrong with this car and if you think it is a good deal. I am looking at it this weekend. I am 17 and a junior in highschool. I will have the opportunity to work on it 2 hours a day during school (Im in tri star and all we do is learn and work on diesels out of tractors and gas engines) and can have my teacher who was a long time diesel mechanic help me a little bit if I need it. Here is the link to the car
https://fortwayne.craigslist.org/cto/5815099199.html

I was thinking it might be a problem with the vat system but am not sure. Any help will be appreciated.

Boy, going by the couple of pictures and description, that seems like a good value.

Thanks for the reply. I think if I cant figure out the electrical problem I might sell the holley stealth ram and intake manifold and the other electronics I dont need and get a carb system as I understand carbs well. Do you have any clue how much I could get for the holley and an aluminum intake if both only have an hour of run time on them?

Look up parts at https://www.summitracing.com/ You have over $2000 just in the exhaust and intake.
