Re: Ohio?
Proof.
We got more than just the intake done. Checked timing and bumped to 4*. Checked Fuel pressure and is showing around 10psi through the range. Figured out 2 live wires on my harness are no big deal (Fogs and under-hood light). Car seems much more stable. Smoother idle, snappier take-off. She's becoming a Beast, sort of.

I have 26 spline.

Sunday the 28th Minerva is hosting a all city carshow. Weather looks good..Another good one coming up is The Old Stagecoach in over in North Georgetown on Monday the 6th of Oct. Last month there were a lot of nice rides and their fish sandwichs are the best. Period. They start to fill up after 5:30 since its a workday.

Near the Strip? I'm about 30 minutes away. I'm just trying to get a feel for the site and try to learn a few things so I can help some people out. I'm pretty new to cars in general haha but I'd be willing to talk shop sometime.

Re: Ohio?
Getting a new backfire after bumping up 4*. Will talk with Azrael about going down to 2 and testing from there. Going to dump the Seafoam in my tank and in the oil for a quick tank run through before an oil change. I'll tell you what though, it's nice not having the car bog every morning or making a turn and barely hitting the gas and the car stall. I'm still getting low fuel pressure. I'll mess with the FPR this weekend, see if I can't figure out the cause. New pump, new filter. 10psi before the TBI. I have ran the car close to empty, stalling a few times due to lack of fuel. Maybe this picked up some garbage and is now clogged, in-tank. Let me know guys. Adios.

Re: Ohio?
it mite be to much timing for lack of fuel when I had swaped in the tpi pump but still had tbi I had zero issues running more timing
GM's fuel pressure specification for the 5.0/5.7 Tbi's is 9-13psi. yours was a soild 10 but you havd done airflow mods to an engine that is already running lean stock they all do so bump the psi to 13-14 and you have more power right there and it will just plane drive better
also what gas grade are you running? I ran 89 in mine once I did all the tbi mods
is it backfire from the exhaust or intake
stop over tonight ill drop it down for you just takes 15 min or so
mine stock was 9 once I got it to 13 it ran so much better didn't have the "knock on giving it wide open throttle" honestly it was a completely different car just fixing all that crap and doing a tune up the car went from running 17.9 @79 to 16.8 @ 84 ya it didn't sound like much but it was a major difference at the time for me .
the next mod was the rear axle once I got rid of the open 2.73 and dropped in the 3.23 posi I also added the tpi fuel pump at the same time ran a 16.0 with the stock exhaust down to the manifolds and factory muffler then I added 1.6 rollerrockers 15.7 but it was much warmer out did the tpi swap that weekend and ran 15.0 with only the tpi swap then I did edlecrap headers and exhaust 14.7
then I spun a rod bearing and replaced the tbi long block with a lb9 with l98 cam and my 1.6 rockers
ran 14.3 and that was the best my 305 could do i found the zz3 on craigslist for 500 and never went back

It is for ohio people and ohio events. It's also for ohio people to talk. If all of us that talk to each other, just talk on facebook... then we don't even need this thread.

Re: Ohio?
I will be moving to Columbus at the beginning of December. Looking for any third gen people, possible meets. I have an 84 firebird, 26k original miles. It's under the knife at the moment. Suspension and brakes done, need to finish the Lt1/t56 swap. It's on hold till I get up there. Hopefully have it done by the spring. I will be living a few miles from national trails raceway. Do they have test and tunes throughout the year?

Re: Ohio?
Moates autoprom is a nice piece. I used it on my 93z lt1 and will be used on the same lt1 being used in my 84. Datalog and tune on the fly simultaneously with tunerpro rt. Really looking forward to get this move done and start working on the car. I am a GM tech, if anyone needs help with car issues let me know.

Radiator sprung a leak at the fins. Trans line/hose blew off, trans fluid all over the driveway. Any local radiator repairmen? I can drive on it with low coolant, but'd rather get this fixed sooner than later. Thanks.

Re: Ohio?
Fart
Driving again, less coolant than before and trans actually feels better now after the quick flush and fill. Probably some gunk in there or something? Anyway, this weekend I'll probably get the radiator fixed and my fans re-wired and mounted. They keep cutting out and I think my butt-connectors are crappy, since they're hard plastic and not nylon. Going to replace the bc's with nylon ones so they'll not only be weatherproof, but won't slide out for any reason. Also going to remove the extra 3ft of wiring I have under my carpet since I routed everything around the door, then found a hole in the firewall to snake them through, just a simple cut and connect. No biggie.
I need my GUYrage fixed!

Anybody working on their car? Mine has been under a car cover for the past month. I've started it a couple of times but that's it. As soon as we get 86Base's car done, mine will be back in the garage for some improvements.

CashMunson - I sold the car, and now selling the parts to move onto a 1st gen. (69 camaro). I do not have another project right now, but I have wanted one for as long as I could remember. I figured if I did not make the move to try and get one soon then it may not happen in my lifetime. I hope to start looking for a project to work on either this year or next year. Need to move my stash of parts for the thirdgen's first.

I live in Columbus and work in Lancaster but am more of an autocross/road course guy not a street racer (assuming that's what you're talking about).

You might want to join columbusracing.com. Good friends of mine own it, and they do lots of racing and meets.
And Hi guys!! I'm still alive and kicking, and so is the GTA. I now have a new truck, and am hauling cars. It's a loaded 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 HD SLT Z71 4X4 with 33K miles. If anybody needs my services, just let me know.

Most of the local AX venues such as Columbus Motor Speedway, National Trails, the auto auction lot on Groveport Rd. (if they'll have us back, lot's filling up again), Kil-Kare, Wilmington Airport. Also try to make it to Nelson Ledges from time to time.
