Geeze, small world! I am off 11th and Indian Trail Drive. S/W of skyview. I see a few third gens around, one maroon, one purple (know that guy) and my friend and neighbor has two, an 88 white Iroc 'Vert and an 83 Z28 with an LT1 swap in it..
Should hook up sometime for a beer, check the car(s) out..

Actually we are talking about trying to do a car show in Windsor over Labor day weekend, that the town puts on. There is also the downtown Fort Collins car show on the 10th of the Sept. I will make sure to post any updates here or email you. So make sure you subscribe to this page!

Glad to hear you will keep me in the loop! I'm on call for Labor day so have to be within a 30 min response time to the hospital so labor day fun is out. I have the Sept 10th avail - was actually thinking about taking the car to the Cheyenne Childrens Miracle network show and chili cook off but didn't get pre-registered so keep me in mind for the 10th!
I'm getting registered for the Fort Collins show today. If your gonna show, we could meet up before hand? I think I'm gonna roll in with a couple vette guys.

I think show or not, all the Colorado owners should meet up before winter comes. I'd love to meet everyone, see how nice their cars are, and share knowledge of these cars.

Re: Colorado Roll Call.
I would love to ....... there are a group up north and many members in the Springs area so meeting somewhere in the middle should be easy enough! Look at Sun Sept 18th or Sun the 25th - tell me where and I will be there!
Maybe Castle Rock for a early afternoon lunch!! Anyone from up North that wants to caravan with me let me know!! I would be glad to put together a cruise for us or find a large area to just park the cars and share stories and knowledge.
FYI ...... if anyone is interested in taking there car to High Plains Raceway and see how they do on a road course let me know. I will be running my Mustang with CECA on the 24th; they have instructors for novice / first time drivers and are a great group to learn how to run with as well as just fun to go and watch the experienced drivers handle the course. Email me if you have questions.

Welcome! Hey make sure whoever your buying it from gets you a passing emissions report on that. You will need it, and state law requires that the sellers provide it... new law this year.

Ok cool thanks man Im still working on my profile and all but i cann tell you a little about the car. its a two tone red top and grey bottom, i think it has the 305 4bbl because it has a carburetor, its an auto transmission, it has aftermarket sound system, and i think thats it. I want to put a 350 v8 in it eventually like everyone else lol. I want to be able to kill me some ricers lol. I wont lie i used to be one myself, but then i had my eyes opened by by my dad to muscle cars lol. But when i put the 350 in i would like to make it a manual tranny. I will be attending the lincoln college of technology also to become an auto mechanic so i might do most of my work at that school. If anyone lives in the aurora or denver area or watnot. i'd like to meet and greet anyone and everyone as i have no friends here watsoever. lol I just moved here from san diego california. And yea thats a little about me lol

I don't know about area where exactly you live. They have a map that shows specified areas, but pretty much unless you are very rural , you should probably have to do one. Now they are doing odd year vehicles this year on renewals, and evens will be next year. All new registrations require emissions test... unless you live in a super rural area. I HATE the emissions program, and our business makes money from it!

Re: Colorado Roll Call.
Yes i did actually earlier today. And yes he has the paper work so yea. Its alll good lol. Now its just a matter of when its gonna be out of the shop so i can take it home and start working on it lol. And if there are ever any meet ups or cruising around town days i would love to go and meet everybody and hopefully get some learning experience about my car. I wont lie i only know bits and pieces about a car thats why im going to lincoln lol. But if there is any oppurtunity to find a good 350 sbc and a fresh manual tranny that would be cool, and if anybody is a grease monkey i'd like to learn to be an apprentice and learn all there is about my 85 firebird

Hello Ghents! I'm in Loveland, Just South of Ft. Collins. Across the street from Windsor.
Anyone local good with the 2.8 L variety. I need some help for sure. PERFECT body on a SC, absolutely NO rust, been sitting in the garage parked since 2003.
One of those stories, perfect outside, needed new carpet and an interior touch-up. Got in over my head with the motor though.
Thanks all!

I will keep my eye out for it. I don't drive mine daily, but have been trying to take it out at least once a week recently. If your ever around campus drop by the shop. Gilsdorf Garage at Shields and Mulberry st... my car might be parked out front.
I'm think start a new thread for Colorado meeting?

You have my curiosity up - tell me about the shop and hours! I may just have to come up and meet you there!! Hubby and Dtr work in Windsor and dtr lives in Ft Collins so I'm up there often!
Took both cars up Pikes Peak a couple weeks ago and the GTA overheated at Mile 16 so I would love to spend some time with people who know these cars to get an idea of my winter work ahead so that she can summit next summer!!
If someone makes plans please email me at Brandiismom@gmail.com so I can try to make it! I look forward to meeting people.

Did you just join the FB group? Nice if you did. Sounds like a pretty solid car and plan that you have there. Just again make sure that you get a passing report from the seller.

I really hope they don't continue the emissions in Colorado... just when i was gonna put headers on too.
I thought it was just a myth that we were going to start testing

I live way out east on 70, so no emissions here. We can go all out if we want. My nieghbor has a new style GTO with 800+ HP, that would definitely not pass emissions! LOL

I live on base. Not that far away from Illif. Buckley is right on Mississippi.
Haha thanks man. I have seen a couple other 3rd gens on base. What color is your car?
Yeah Colorado is very nice. No beach but I like it haha. I have been doing some hiking lately and it is beautiful here. It is supposed to snow Wednesday ahhh! I have never lived anywhere where it snowed. But yeah I will be here for the next 3 years at least, so I will be looking forward to the spring.

Mine is a white 88 GTA, I haven't had it out to base yet, she is still in driveable project mode and I have to get it registered, but with the new snow that may be awhile. I plan on having it done for the Annual Summerfest car show on base next year. Hopefully.
That's something that we as the Colorado ThirdGeners could do... we could take over the base car show and show 'em what we got!

Cool man sounds good. It was so weird seeing snow on my car yesterday haha.
I run across stuff through my shop from time to time that might work for you. I will let you know if I get a cheap beater that might work for ya on a snowy day.

Re: Colorado Roll Call.
I'm that guy driving the black Formula with the paint coming off the hood and missing rear wing. Though that'll change once I get back from deployment and pour some of this money into the car .
Which reminds me, can anybody recommend a body shop and/or mechanic in the Aurora/Denver area? In addition to body work, I also want to repair & throw a shift kit into the 700r4, upgrade the entire exhaust system, and put a posi on the rear. But there's so many mechanics in the area that it's hard to choose between 'em.
