Re: Colorado Roll Call.

So anyone from the Springs, Denver, or Aurora area want to meet up and caravan up to Fort Collins? Trying to think of a central area to meet up at.

From what is being mentioned and suggested on the FB MHTG group site, its looking like people coming from the south and Denver are looking at meeting at the Park & Ride at I25 & 120th. This is on the west side on I25, and there is a gas station right there for snacks and gogo juice if yoru car needs it.

Hope you all can make it!

Re: Colorado Roll Call.

So far the meeting place for all third gens is at the park n ride off I25 and 120th, we are looking to start meeting up by 915 and roll out at about 945 so we can get to ft collins by 11. Man my car is most likely gonna look the crappiest of the bunch. Definately not looking forward to that. *sigh*

Its honestly very easy... 120th st exit, take a left crossing the interstate to the west and its on the left side. There is a little Conoco gas station on the left. Swing a u-turn at the light and make a right turn into where all the cars are parked... Just keep your eyes out for 120th!

With a little bit of elbow grease and an extra hand, you could of done it yourself at the most, in 4 hours, and saving over $100 bucks.

Back in 2003, there was a crazy hailstorm. I thought my ttops where gonna brake. The only there wasn't much damage other than a few dents on the center metal divider of the ttop glass.

If you do go to them its a little hard to find. its off a small road, hidden by trees. took me a good half hour looking in the neighborhood the first time i went. The owner is a cool guy, used to be a big racer back in the day from what i heard. The shop looks a bit trashy ( cant expect much from a junk yard) but he has great stuff for great prices ($200 for weatherstripping, compared to Hawks $600)
I am pretty sure there is a Camaro yard in Lakewood, i was searching everywhere for a new shifter a few months back and found them. ill post the info if i find it

i wish i could say, but i have never actually looked haha. i need a new headlight tension spring so i may be down there this weekend and i can look. the best way i can explain it is its south of the world arena. If you head south on US-87 its the first left after you go over I-25 and its like the third building down in the little area

I know Las Vegas Rd is in that area because when I was stationed at Ft. Carson, I had to buy a door glass for our Ford Aerostar due to the incredible high winds that roll down Cheyenne Mountain. Just out of the gate that leads to Academy Blvd was Las Vegas rd. But who knows. It may help others but definetaly not me. I live in SoCal now.

I would love to soon, maybe after the fires calm down a bit. The Waldo Canyon fire is around a mile from my home now so I'm waiting it out in Penrose. But I would really love to have a meet up soon.

Is the fire that big? I was stationed at Ft Carson when the Hayman wildfire occurred. What's the difference, if any?

OHHHHHH YEEEAAAAH!!!! The difference is this HUGE fire is happening in a populated area and burning houses like they were trees. 32,000 people evacuated.

The videos of it burning houses one after another last night was seriously the craziest thing I have seen on TV. The fire outside Fort Collins is almost 90K acres, and clsoe to 300 homes in two weeks, and I would bet 300 burned last night.

yeah we had 10,000 trying to leave our neighborhood. So far the fire is blowing past most of my area and is heading more towards USAFA and Douglas County but Woodland Park is now evacuated as well. I would really love to have a meet up and even a caravan after all this is over. Hanging out with all the thirdgens and showing what we got sounds great, it'll be a shining light in these darker times.

Re: Colorado Roll Call.

Hope everyone is doing alright. that fire was some scary ****. I was a 1/4 mile away when it started coming over the ridge by mountain shadows. I hope I never have to see anything like that again. I still don't know if my girlfriend's house is even standing.

Swapping out the rear with some 3.42's this time.
