Colorado Springs meet and greet anyone?

Looking to get some 3rd gens together before they all start getting parked for the winter, just a meetup to chat with everyone around here and admire some other people's cars. anyone in town or who wants to come to the springs for this, sound off here or pm me. Also any suggestions on location, time, date, all that stuff are completely welcome. All I know is I want to do it in the next month or so.

Fervernt, I don't know how I can possibly have missed you in the area if you are at Centennial and Vindicator as I am just off Allegheny and am always doing my test runs on Centennial. I am up for a meet up, my car is not the most show off worthy lol but it would be great to meet everyone.

Just back from a roadtrip - love to meet up! Seeing lots of people on the north side. When/where shall we meet?

Re: Colorado Springs meet and greet anyone?

Nice where did you road trip to? Im thinking next weekend unless anyone is interested in doing it in the next couple days? As far as where, im kinda thinking maybe the sonic up by the chapel hills mall? Maybe cruise down academy to the south side after and back up 25 north. Nothing major lol just a quick cruise.

Re: Colorado Springs meet and greet anyone?

Hit pretty much every little out of the way road in southern CO! walsenburg, alamosa, pagosa springs, durango, cortez, telluride, montrose, delta, olathe, hotchkiss, carbondale, aspen, buena vista, hartsel. (and i have the bugs to prove it!) I can do next weekend. Not sure we want to cruise i25, the construction up there has made a MESS of that area!

Sounds like a blast!, I hope you got to see the ENORMOUS!!! Hartsel jail.

I am available this weekend and next so either works for me, and as far as construction goes, it only really affects people going North of the N. Academy exit, but before it doesn't seem to jam up too bad.

Re: Colorado Springs meet and greet anyone?

Sorry i didnt post back sooner lol i been busy with work.i think next weekend would be best, its too short notice to do it tomorrow at this point unless you guys want to. So im thinking next saturday around 7 (or earlier) at the sonic by the chapel hills mall? We can figure out a cruise route then. Unless anyone wants to make a suggestion? And of course if you guys want to do it tomorrow im down, just post up and let me know

Re: Colorado Springs meet and greet anyone?

Saturday nights I cruise around with my car club and do "live action speed tests" with the imports around town, but if we start at 7 like you suggest I think that will give me enough time to get back and meet up with them, you guys are more than welcome to join us as well.

Does anyone know where the old Saurday car meet was moved to? It used to meet up in from of the old grocery warehouse on Austin Bluffs just east of Academy Blvd.

I just picked up a 1991 Camaro B4C and will try and bring her back to life.

They will not start up again until it gets to constant warm temps, most of the time they don't come out till we start touching 60's. I'll keep my eye out for them and will update when I see them meeting this year.

Thanks Dabesiv, hopefully I'll get her running by the time it starts back up again... Not saying she'll be pretty though. The hood is covered with rust and the previous owner's dogs used both the front fenders as chew toys.

Well the old ex-highway patrol car is finally up and running! Now I just need to make sure she stays that way. Maybe she can even get painted before Summer hits...

Sadly she is currently down for some "light" bodywork and paint, so soon she will no longer be the color of white and rust... She'll be a gunmetal grey with black stripes.

She is bone stock but still enough for the Colorado Highway Patrol to meet up with me on Woodman... Talk to me while in one of their old cars and give me a written reminder to slow my *** down.
