GM gives us a 1LE V6 Camaro
I am enticed. A V6 1LE could be a crazy fun car.
And the new V6 actually sounds good too.
First of all, more aggressive suspension tuning is applied to handle greater efforts on the track. The 2017 Camaro LT 1LE receives standard Brembo brakes, and a unique wheel design is wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The combination is good for 0.97G in cornering grip. The 2017 Camaro LT 1LE also receives the innovative Performance Data Recording system as an option. Other technical specs include the following:
Many of the 2017 Camaro LT 1LE’s performance additions come from the 2016 Camaro SS, making the package a literal one-stop shop for extra go-fast bits in one tidy package. And it won’t be a slouch, either.
“With a curb weight under 3,500 pounds, excellent front-to-rear weight balance and the precision of the FE3 suspension, the Camaro LT 1LE offers unmatched capability in its class,” said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer. “As a result, it offers incredible performance for Camaro V6 customers.”
Availability for the 1LE package will begin in late 2016 as the Camaro begins its 2017 model year.

Re: GM gives us a 1LE V6 Camaro
It makes me so sad that the new Camaro is so expensive. My dream was to buy an SS one day and i'm even in the car business. The Camaros are so expensive in general the payment will be 6 to 700 even with a few grand down. The money per dollar of performance is awesome but I can't afford $700 per month and i'm not alone. Customers I sell cars to can hardly swing $400's. The industry put these cars in Corvette territory which is a shame. Oh well what can you do.

GTA's were typically the most expensive, and those were about $26k in 1992 the last year of production.
Accounting for inflation that $26k car becomes about $44k. Technically they are still serving the same market of buyers they did in the 3rd gen era.
