Report from Classic American MuscleCar - Traditional
I've been here for a while, but there was NOBODY to race against in CP so I elected to buy an interior from a pull-a-part car and go back to the CAM-T direction this year.
First event at ETR, i was very happy with the car. Pictures on course:
And here is my 4th run.
I'm on Forgestars 18x10 up front with 275 BFG Rival-S and in the rear i'm on 18x11 on 315. lots of mods for autocross, but not on race rubber any longer, it was too expensive and I have 3 kids in college at the same time.
Overall, i'm happy -- need to find a 1/2 a second -- and I can do that because the sticker tires now have a heat cycle in them.

Wow, I was really surprised to find this thread. I was their in my 1991 Blue Third gen. You have a great car and I am glad to see the third gens representing. Missed you at the Chattanooga Dade County High School race. Was looking forward to seeing you guys there as you had registered.
We were very close at ETR and hope to see you folks there again. I was looking at going to CP but as you have noted, not much in competition (except PAX).
Please keep coming to the events, I need the great competition and advice. Of course I understand the "kid" stuff, hell, I've got grand kids now.
Hope to you folks at the next one. Thanks!

Can't run race rubber in CAM anyway. Ex-CP cars are probably the biggest threat in CAM class right now.

Yeah, 200 treadware required. Thought I might buy some R-Comps but me thinks my control arm bushings are preventing me going to CP.
Either go to Polyis or give up the Del a lums front and back. What is your interpretation?

Dunno, my car is still at least 75% rubber bushings. That's one reason I resented getting thrown up into CP for having a cam before CAM came along.
