typical MPH increase with nitrous

I just got back from the track, went 107 on the motor and 117 on the bottle. This was on a 100 shot. Just curious on what kind of increases you guys were seeing.

Usually the mph increase is judgable (real word?) by the amount of shot your running. The rule of thumb is that for every 10hp you make, you get 1 mph more in through the traps.
Look at your setup for example, you ran 107 n/a, sprayed 100 shot and got 117. Thats a 10 mph increase on a 100 shot. Just like you should have. Perfect!
I got this from GMHTP magazine, and it is pretty fool-proof.

------------------
'88 RS (originally 2.8)
-350, .040 over, vette alum. L98s, stock tpi.
-305 injectors & chip
-TES headers & edelbrock cat back
-3.73 gears, 700r4.
Best with 2.8-17.4@77mph
Best with 305-15.0@93mph
Best with 356-13.7@101mph
on a 2.050 60 ft.
(Damn the 2.8!)

It was a 12.60 pass at 117 but the 60ft was like 2.1 and I didnt spray til middle of second gear....I was shocked at the MPH increase!

I picked up 7 MPH in the 1/8 alone on a 100 shot, but only gained a few more MPH in thw 1/4. With my current setup, I would have to change the rear gear to get a faster ET.
