350 Tpi Supercharger help

I have a stock 350 tpi fuel injected 88 camaro and I'm looking for suggestions on a supercharger that wouldn't require me to do a lot of work to the engine but give me a decent power increase. As of now i have a magna flow exhaust and looking to put on hooker shorty headers, new intake manifold, and comp cams.

Re: 350 Tpi Supercharger help

Bang for buck maybe inquire about torquestrom blowers. 7-8 psi and a small meth kit would be ideal, need retuned ofcourse but would net a good power increase. 12 sec car with right supporting mods

Maybe small vortech system.

Easiest method would be fmu for fuel but would need a high pressure walbro 255-340 lph pump to go with it. Or a bosche 044 inline

Could go EBL flash for ecm tuning with a 2 bar map and larger injectors 30-36 lb for low boost. Thats ideal for tuning with boost but the fmu stuff can work on stockish motors.

I just am leary with running high fuel pressure on fuel pumps and injectors, and tpi regulators

Everything is new from them but, the head unit and pullies are used. When I add the options that I have to their kit price it came up 6,846.80

I agree with you 100%. With the Vortech kits being discontinued, and with no real kit to take its' place, I'm sure Procharger feels they can charge whatever they want due to the 88-92 F-Body limitation factor. I'm sure he can piece together a system and save lots of money if he searches, but that might take awhile to source though...

For 6800 you can build an all motor car that makes more power than a blown stock L98

Or an 6.0 bore ls swap with lsa blower and cowl hood

x2. that kit would pretty much make no sense nowadays.

Re: 350 Tpi Supercharger help

The add ons and the polishing brings the cost up to that price, a standard P1SC kit for the 88-92 L98 looks to be selling for $4700.00, even Hawks has it advertised at that price. I have yet to see any other complete supercharger system for these forgotten vehicles, and in my opinion for an owner to be up and running the same day with no tuning required makes perfect sense, which is right up his alley because OP wants something with not a lot of work to the engine being required, and decent power increase. Not everybody is looking for a project that needs to be pieced together and take months, not everybody is looking for a system that makes gobs of more power, and most don't even want to take off a valve cover. They just want a simple bolt on kit that can be installed easily and to just go and enjoy their car at a cruise night. Funny thing is, once Procharger drops it from their line then members will get upset the same way they did when Vortech said adios and never looked back...

Re: 350 Tpi Supercharger help

Problem is its not that simple. He may bolt it on and find out its got weak valvesprings and be floating, may have bad blowby, may blow a head gasket or something to pressurize the coolant system like my car did. The supporting mods could add up. We only can assume the original motor is in good shape. It may not be

Tighten your plug gap and replace the wires and cap.

Re: 350 Tpi Supercharger help

Just because vortech doesn't offer a tpi specific kit doesn't mean you can't make the carb'd sbc kit work, I did, but it is work. You have to re-drill the 4 mounting bolt holes 1" lower on the bracket to get the hood to close along with some other small mods.

Superchargers are not cheap! Thats for sure! Being in California makes it even more difficult for me. I just got a black friday deal on a CARB legal blower for my LS3 for $7270!
