Oh I don't know... I'm good just about anytime. If we plan something, let's give ourselves at least a month to get the word out, and maybe contact a few members that have gone more or less inactive, but can still be found through the search engine here on TGO

there's Tom's in Arlington, and a really nice old place in called candlelite inn. Great food, and I know the owner. We could get a private room for our group

I am open for ideas. I know that there are plenty more on TGO and I would like to see 15-20 third gens at least. That would be awesome.

Re: [DFW] Dallas & Fort Worth
Well, anytime between now and march has a chance for really cold weather, but it is Texas, so bad is a relative term. It could be t-shirt and shorts weather...
Personally, I find that sundays are better forthese things than Friday or saturday night. You meet early evening,(4ish) and restaurants are less crowded, and fewer people have plans.
I'll go ahead and throw out a date. How about January 31st, the sunday before the superbowl? There's never much going on that day. We would have to do it at Tom's, (of the two places I mentioned) because Candlelite Inn is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Once we have a date, I'll contact the owner of whatever place we choose and see if we can get a section of the parking lot reserved for a thirdGen group picture.

If I lived closer, I would definitely attend. Maybe, and this is a long shot, I can convince my better half to take a road trip. We'll see.

Re: [DFW] Dallas & Fort Worth
I know NTTGA already has regular meetings. I'm going to go to their next meeting on January 9th at spring creek BBQ in grapevine.
Might be an easier way to have a cool gathering, is to combine groups (though most may already be NTTGA members already)

Re: [DFW] Dallas & Fort Worth
I'm in Forney. My 1987 Trans-AM is in mediocre shape. Rust issues and what not. It does run fairly well, but the interior is out of it right now. My 1985 Trans-AM doesn't move at all pending a complete rebuild. I could always ****** Jerry's uber base model 1987 Firebird.

I think the 1/31/2009 (Sunday) would make a great meet as well. Enough time to keep the thread growing. Arlington will make a great central location. I'm up for wherever in Arlington.
