WTB parts in DFW area...

I'm looking for someone who is parting out a 3rd-gen in the Dallas, TX area. I need a bunch of OE parts to make my '91 Trans Am street legal:
  1. All of the emissions equipment (smog pump, PCV, carbon canister, etc.)
  2. Windshield washer system
  3. Good rear hatch w/o the 3rd brake light on top
  4. Horns
Let me know if you have something.

OK, I got the hatch I needed from BloodPhoenix. Does anyone have the emissions or windshield washer systems available? Thanks.

Digging up your old post but you don't have to pass emissions anymore as of 2015 with having a 91. It's only safety now.

Re: WTB parts in DFW area...

True that I won't have to pass the IM240 next year, when the car becomes 25 model years old. I'm not likely to have it ready to pass safety between now and January anyway, so I probably won't bother with stuff like the smog pump. I would like to install a PCV system, but I don't have to use OE parts for that. Maybe a charcoal canister, too, so the E85 in my tank is not absorbing moisture from the atmosphere all the time.

It's a 91 right? If so as of this year you only have to worry about safety. I just left 10 Minute State Inspection in Arlington getting our new 91 Formula safety inspected. A whopping $7.

I thought the same thing as you with it needing to be next year but nope. They consider 91 models being older then 24 years old. All the guy did was drive it around to the bay, check the vin, and odo. Then printed the sheet. LOL Safety inspection my ****. What do I care though I made sure all the lights etc worked properly before going up. The only thing left to do is test the airbag coil in the steering wheel to see if there is a break in the line since my Infl. Rest light is always on.

Oh, excellent. The way I read TxDOT's website, I thought I had to wait until next year. Thanks for letting me know.
