Calhoun County, AL area?
Is anyone here from the Calhoun County, AL area?
I'm just curious if there are any other 3rd gen guys in my area. When I was about 17 (I'm 31, now), we had a small group of like 5 guys with 3rd gens that had an unofficial club. I'd like to find a pal or two.

Hi. I'm in Etowah county. I work in Gadsden. Haven't seen many third gens around lately. Mine is currently getting the rear end freshened up. Hopefully it will be back on the road soon

I'm in Calhoun County and just got my first third gen. I don't do much social media. Hit me up at work. Drivers choice in Anniston, I work in the shop and drive the black 87 GTA.

Re: Calhoun County, AL area?
I came across a very very sad site on Craigslist. It's a 88 trans am ttop Tpi car, rattle can black and supposedly runs. The pics looked like a solid body so I negotiated it down to $350. I had a friend pic it up for me as I really needed some odd and ends for my GTA. My friend said when he got there they were all drunk and had busted the windshield and ripped the spoiler off the deck lid. The interior is ratted out completely. Absolutely no chance of ever returning it to its former glory. I am happy to have a mostly complete parts car but it really chaps me that this poor thing has been abused the way it has. I just don't understand someone letting anything you work hard for get this far gone. I'm sure it didn't happen with one owner but still I have to wonder why no one cared for this poor thing. You don't have to be rich to take care of stuff. I know I'm not but I do take pride in the things I own. My 15 year old son loves these cars. When he's my age there won't be many worth rescuing any more. Sorry about the rant, it just makes me sick that a car I dreamed of at 8 years old got abused to the extent that it's nothing but mere parts. I will post some pics tomorrow of my heavily optioned 88 t/a parts car.

Here's my sad story of a parts car. It's a 88 you car and has not had a nice life but I couldn't pass up on it for $350.

I just moved to Marshall County, not too far from you guys. I love to build and restore these cars and am looking forward to building a network here.
