Hydraulic throwout bearing

Hello.
i have a V8 1986 iroc-z that I just installed a 5 speed into and my question is, how do I go about hooking up the hydraulic throwout bearing? It already has a slave cylinder and clutch fork but when I bought the transmission the guy gave me a hydraulic throwout bearing with it but no lines or anything. How should I go about this?

Re: Hydraulic throwout bearing

Our cars don't use hydraulic throwout bearings. Or rather, the stock thirdgen T5 doesn't.

The hydraulic line goes to our slave cylinder which pushes against the throwout lever/fork, in turn moving the bearing. Newer styles like the T56 6 speed use a hydraulic bearing, and the lines connect directly to it, with no need for the slave and fork.

I've seen retrofits, but that's not how the T5 works stock. ...unless of course there are now kits out there.

If you have the fork and the slave, just do to the parts store and pick up a stock replacement bearing for an 86 with a t5.
