Re: Another 3rd gen passes the smog test

Years ago I posted details on the engine work that Don did on the car under something like "Dyno Don's Latest Masterpiece."

Considering I picked up a used engine/trans combo (although the trans had been trashed and Don replaced it with a T56), I'm amazed the engine runs as clean as it does.

Thanks, Don.

Good job!

It's a nice looking car, too. You need to bring it out more often.
We need more blue cars at the cruises to make it even!

Re: Another 3rd gen passes the smog test

I think it was four years ago I took the car to dyno day. Don and Kevin spent a lot of time working on the tuning. I probably spent more time than anyone on the dyno and it got to the point where I was embarrassed by how much time they were spending on my car, so we finally moved on to another car.

I think all of us assumed (at least I know I did), that the car still needed to be tuned, even though two years later, when I had to go through smog, it blew some excellent numbers.

It is clear that the tuning is spot on.

Both Don and Kevin know what they are doing. Thanks to both of you for a job well done.

ZZ4 HOT cam.

For reasons that defy rational explanation, I am a fan of factory parts.

Great numbers.
Might have to get my 83 T/A to Don's to get it running right again.
