I can't answer all you asked, but all 9 bolts were NOT posis. I've seen many posts from guys running 3.08 open drum 9 bolts....wierd huh..

Axle/Gears: 9 bolt/3.27
I don't think you can the exact speedo gears for the 9 bolt ratios anymore. I just recently swapped in a 2.77 9 bolt and wound up using the gears for the 2.73 ratio. This shouldn't make any real difference,maybe a 1/2-1 mph difference between the two. The dealers however still have all the gears for the 10 bolt ratios so you should be able to get them. Just tell the dealer what ratio you have and they should be able to hook you up.

Yep, like Mongoose (Mike) said. Although I can't input for your 5 speed, the gears for the 2.73/2.77, 3.23/3.27, and 3.42/3.45 (10/9 bolt ratios) with autos are all the same for 9 and 10 bolts. The 2-5 hundredths make no difference in MPH in these applications, so it would stand to reason that the 5 speed gears would interchange in the same manner.
