Spare Tire Speed
Yeah, it might be a stupid question, but I just want to check. I know they say don't exceed 50 MPH on them, but would it be safe to use them for fronts at the strip since theyre only exceeding 50 for a few seconds?

It just isn't a good idea - I have thought the same thing you are... "they are like skinnies, right?"
... wrong. They will fail above 50MPH. Maybe not the first pass, maybe not the second, third, or fourth pass... but they will fail and then you have a nasty blowout at 90+ MPH. Not good.

btw, dont think you can get around that by running a skinny tire on the spare tire rim.
the rim isnt strong enough to take the abuse... somewhere (i need to find it) theres a vid of a mustang doing a wheelstand and coming down on them... sheared them right thru.
