How hard is steering with S10 box?

How hard is steering with S10 box?
Compared to a stock box without the pump, how hard is it to turn an S10 box in a thirdgen? It's either that or the flaming river rack for me.

When the car is moving, you won't notice much difference. It's only noticable when standing still or moving very slowly since there's no power assist. To overcome this, a manual box has a higher mechanical advantage meaning it takes more turns from stop to stop.

Thats what I'm looking for. Even when the car is moving now it's harder to steer. So it looks like the s10 box will be a good option.
How is the rack from Hawks? Will it work with a stock front K-Member or is it for a tubular setup?

i have the S10 box with 165 front runner tires and it's pretty simple to turn the wheel. with 245 front tires you couldn't turn the wheel in a parking lot without the car moving. overall it cleaned up some room and took some weight off the car so it's all worth it

The flaming river kit If I remember correctly WORKS about the same as an s-10 box BUT its a LOT lighter... I dont remember how much..but its signifigant.. especially given that the weight is up front..
I use the s10 box on mine... Im no weightlifter.. just a skinny white boy...I can drive it fine... With SKINNIES I dont notice it at all...With the stock GTA wheels/tires its a little harder to turn...but not unbearable..I mean I supose if I was a vallet and had to park 5000 cars a day Id prefer power...but For what I do with my GTA the manual steering is great..
