best results?, Drag radials or slicks?
i need a good used set of either 245-50-16 radials or should i go with slicks and put a 15 inch tire on the back so i can get a little better 1/4 mile gear out of the smaller tire and just mount the rims on another set of wheels and just use them at the track either way if you got a set for sale pm me...

I'd look for either 275/50/15 measures about 25.75x11.25x15 or a 26x10.5x15. I've had much better luck with the radials, m/t e/t street radials in particular.

245/50/16 = 25.64" tall. I don't see a common listing for that size but I do see one for 255/50/16
255/50/16 is 26.1" tall. Fits on an 8" rim. Has 9.6" tread width and 10.5" sidewall width.
You could go with a 26x10.5x15 ET Street slick. It will fit on an 8" rim. It's 26" tall, has a 8.3" tread and the sidewall is 10.5" wide.
You could also go with a 26x8.5x15 ET Drag slick. It will fit on an 8" rim. It's 25.9" tall, has a 8.1" tread and the sidewall is 9.9" wide.
I'd say buy a set of 15" rims and install slicks for track use only. Both slicks will work equally well. Just because the ET Street has a DOT rating doesn't mean they should be driven on the street.
