i was looking for a decent set of shocks/struts for my 86 iroc. i came across there package of front and rears for 145.90. any of you hear good things about them? or should i just go with a cheaper monroe brand? i'd be looking for handling/ comfortable ride, just not to familiar with suspension. thanks

Re: KYB EXCEL-G

Find some used ones, buy them two at a time.

Short term something else may look better, but if you are on a budget buying something far inferior that wont last anywhere nearly as long is going to cost you more.

A single decent strut will cost more than that price for all four. They will work the get the car on the road, will ride pretty well I'm sure, but they will not be up to the task of performance driving ot heavier springs

Re: KYB EXCEL-G

Those are a good factory replacement shocks and struts that will be fine for mild driving. If u want something better than go with the agx versions or other competators.

They are better than the other options by more than the difference in price.

If you really absolutely have to replace them now and wont buy the bilsteins now, you should buy whatever you can get the cheapest and start putting away the money to get the bilsteins.
