Re: 1991 Camaro Suspension Parts

I can't comment on the quality of the subframe connectors, but my adjustable panhard bar and lower control arms are Sphon, and I have been running them on my car for 3 years now with no problems.

I have a 1986 LG4 T5 IROC and am interested in the latest SFC recommendations too. I started with Spohn tubular lower control arms which helped with the wheel hop.
Alsoo I'd like to know which of the recommended SFC installations if any give us better jacking points under the car that are stronger.

Re: 1991 Camaro Suspension Parts

I went with Spohn Tube type SFC because they tuck up out of view and also their Tube type LCA's & Panhard bar. Car is as good as when I had the Spohn parts installed 10+ years ago. Original owner and with the above SFC's my 25 yr old is tighter now then when new.

I was really thinking of going this route and if it dosent stiffen it up enough for me then adding the internal ones from alston I think is who makes them. Between the two it ought to be stiff.

Thanks for including us on your list!

Our SFC's work great and also are pretty stealthy with regards to visibility. You can't even see them on our IROC unless you get down to ground level.

Re: 1991 Camaro Suspension Parts

anyone ever use these from Jegs. Mine will of course be welded just be nice to be able to bolt them in at home then take it to a lift to weld them in the resto of the way.

Re: 1991 Camaro Suspension Parts

I went with UMI subframe connectors. Very very strong. 1/8" or 3/16" I can't recall. Cannot be seen with the side skirts on. They fit all models Thirdgen, regardless of body type.

Thanks for the mention.

The main bracing is 1/8" and the rear mounts are 3/16". Everything is built in our building in Philipsburg, PA and always of US materials!
