k member selection

I apologize if this gets moved to a more fitting section. I'm LS swapping my 91 RS, I realize the stock k member will fit but im very concerned about the minimal clearance it leaves with oil pan. I'd really like to go tubular. I've also been told that the BMR k member fits horribly?!Does anyone have have any imput or advice on this situation?

Correct!

The downfall to the UMI LS k-member is low mounting AC does not clear. However you can use a kit from Kwik Performance to relocate the AC up top and everything should be good to go.

Here's our LS k-member- http://umiperformance.com/catalog/in...roducts_id=624

We have had great feedback in both fit and finish on the UMI k-member.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Great to hear.

Yes, you can reuse the factory a-arms with our k-member.

I hope that helps,
Ryan

Here you go: http://umiperformance.com/catalog/in...roducts_id=103

There is also an option at the bottom to add Delrin bushings if needed.

I hope that helps, Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Re: k member selection

I was torn between the UMI and the race craft moly member. I decided to get the Racecraft since I got a screaming deal (slightly less than the UMI but the race craft cost like $800 in the version I got). The craftsman ship is very nice and fit was great. I got a ton of oil pan clearance compared to the stock Kmember and stupid light too. I have a much larger motor though at 521cuin BBF so the clearance was welcomed.

That being said I've heard great things from the UMI but doesn't look like it gives too much more clearance than the stocker at the base dual cross tubes. I have UMI's front Aarms (without steering stops as they are an older version) and UMI double rod ended rear LCAs and pan hard rod… all great quality. UMI's stuff is pretty nice.
