bumpy ride

So I've notice that whenever I'm on the free way and what not that every little bump makes the whole car sound like the bolts are going to screw off. I then got into my friends 2006 Chrysler 300 and it was soo smooth. Now I know I can't make it my camaro the same but I would like a easier smoother ride what should I do ? (89 camaro v6) (I'm somewhat clueless (17)

Re: bumpy ride

These cars all rattle, I've never been in one that didn't sound like the doors were going to fall off when you hit a bump. It's never going to be as smooth or quiet as a 300, it was never meant to be smooth & quiet, it was meant to be fast.

You are trying to compare apples to a 2006 Chrysler 300. If you want a sofa on wheels then get a 300/Cadillac/Lincoln. If you can't accept the rough ride as part of the cars character than maybe this isn't the car for you.

Re: bumpy ride

Not quiet, I like the way my car sounds but isn't there any suspension springs or lowering it or stiffening something make it smoother ? Or just straight up no.

Re: bumpy ride

Afraid to say it it, but no. Even BRAND NEW these cars were harsh. So, a 23 year old car isn't any better.
Make sure your suspension is up to par as in Shocks,Struts,Front end components, bushings, good tires,(not rubber bands on 24"s), and other stuff like that. Also, if your door/window seals are shot, theres some more noise.

As said above, they're not the smoothest cars in town.

Oh, and finish your profile!
