Need rear Panhard rod & crossmember? Where?

Hi guys,
replaced the rear shocks on my 92 Firebird GTA and figured out that some idiot must have jacked up the car using the panhard rod.
The rod and the crossmember above are badly bent.
Does anybody know where I could get that from.
I guess the crossmember might be a real problem.

Hope anybody can help!

Thanks,

Tom

The "crossmember" is really just a chassis brace.

But regardless, you can by both of those things from acoupla places. In fact, for the stationary brace, some folks make a tubular one, that's probably several times stiffer than the factory thing, and gives extra clearance to boot. (such as, to the exhaust) Some of the board sponsors have em for example. Check all those guys out, on the main Chassis/Suspension forum page. There's plenty of other sources for em too if none of those peels your banana.

Well, I stand corrected... the sponsor ads down the right side of the forum are GONE.

UMI, Spohn, Founders Performance, are a few sponsors I can recall that might have what you're looking for. Others that aren't board sponsors might include Hotchkis, Lakewood, BMR.

See this is first post, welcome to the forum! Lots of great advise, info, and helpful members here. I've got Founders panhard bars on all my 'birds. If you looking for a stock one, and can't find one locally, I still think I have mine. Be happy to send one to you for shipping cost only. When you get a chance update your profile for vehicles specifics. Let me know.

Thanks a lot guys for the quick help.
That's a great place here. Been looking up a lot of stuff so far without registering ....
@antares57
Thanks fpr your offer. I really appreciate it. I'll get back with you once I checked here.
I bought a pretty abused GTA in May and I'm fixing the issues time after time since I have got another restoration project going on.
Will update my profile tonight ;-)

I like the adjustable one. You never know what the future holds as far as mods. Good to have. Just be aware it's poly bushings, so it can make your ride a little rougher. Also you need a different grease.

Best of luck!

I have both of my old original ones, the panhard bar and the upper brace. I will never be using them again and they are just sitting on a shelf in my basement. If you need them, let me know and we can arrange something. I am in NJ. Mine are un damaged, and just a touch rusty/dirty, can easily be cleaned up and painted.

@IROCZman15

Thanks o lot, man. Shame, I ordered that stuff on Sunday night. Found a used brace on eBay and bought a tubular aftermarket panhard bar.

I appreciate your offer, thanks again!

Re: Need rear Panhard rod & crossmember? Where?

Got a link to the eBay brace? Scratch that I see it says used brace, I'm looking for a tubular aftermarket. Whether it makes a difference or not it does bug me to have a tubular Panhard bar then the flat stamped brace above it look terrible to me. Looking like I'm gonna have to make my own.

Re: Need rear Panhard rod & crossmember? Where?

Sweet, I was hoping for something cheap on ebay lol. At $100 plus shipping for that one, I can have my dad fab the parts at work for free and weld them together at home and bolt her in though. I was just being lazy and hoping I could find something cheap.

Re: Need rear Panhard rod & crossmember? Where?

I actually have a Panhard bar from founders already, it's the brace above that I want to replace. If I could have found one for like 50 I'd snap it up just because I'm lazy and wouldn't have to do the fab work lol, but I have access to having the ends made, then I can weld the ends onto some tubing myself.
