is this a f-body piece?

hi

I've found this piece on the ground when my ball-joint failed and the wheel alomst went away.

Is it something from our car? Perhaps it was already on the ground.

thanks

Re: is this a f-body piece?

That is a balancing weight they glue onto your rims to balance the tires. You should find which rim looks like it is missing this and have it balanced again

That's a wheel balance weight. Not the glue-on type though, it's the "real" kind, that clips onto the edge of the rim.

Probably got knocked off of the wheel when the BJ failed; hit something most likely.

Get that wheel re-balanced.

As others have said. It's a wheel weight. Every car, every wheel will have one. Some may have 2 or 3 lol. May be on outside or inside of wheel. Can be diff sizes (longer or shorter)

That's the style wheel weight that they might try to use on a nice set of wheels putting them on the outside lip and damaging it. Not only that but they look terrible.
I specifically tell anyone mounting tires on my wheel not to use them. Only the stick on type that goes on the inside of the wheel.

Can you imagine what they would look like on the out side rim on this wheel. Or any wheel for that matter.
"Crap".
