BMR Torque Arm Relocation Bracket Question

I currently have the chassis of my car peppered with BMR pieces. When installing the torque arm I noticed my transmission bracket is damaged. Since I was ordering one anyway I thought it best to get my Torque Arm off the trans and get the bracket with the relocation mount.

When I look at the BMR installation instructions it says that if it's got an auto trans to mount the torque arm on the driver side of the mounting bracket if it's a manual to mount it on the passenger side.

My question is why would it matter what side the arm mounts to?
When I looked for pics the only ones found were the UMI set up and it mounts to the passenger side on the auto trans car.

Why the difference between the mounting between the manual or Auto on the BMR?

Re: BMR Torque Arm Relocation Bracket Question

All of our relocation cross members are made to mount the torque arm to the drivers side regardless of transmission.

Re: BMR Torque Arm Relocation Bracket Question

Thanks for the reply Craig It is what side of the flat mounting bracket that I was questioning. BMRs mounts the torque arm for the 700R4 on the drivers side of the bracket, the T5 on the passenger side. In the photos of the 2228R UMI shows it on the passenger side of the flat bracket.

Both companies parts appear to be high quality pieces.
