Rear end out of line?
Hey y'all, I've got a 1985 Trans Am WS6 and as I was replacing an exhaust hanger my buddy pointed out that the rear tires were not equally showing on either side of the car. One side had about an inch of tire poking our, the other side had about two and a half inches poking out. I'm not sure what this could be, I've got some pictures but it's dark here, I'll post better ones in the AM. Thank you very much!
This side has far more tire sticking out
This side has far less tire sticking out. Please excuse the muddy quarters, I had just hit a puddle.
Additionally I'm not sure if the tires are the same exact width, but I would think so since they're on the stock wheels.

That's pretty common on these cars even if they have never been in an accident.
If it bothers you plenty of vendors sell adjustable track bars to correct the side to side measurements.

Okay, is there any negative effects? Like uneven wear or anything? I don't want to be taking a corner hard and have my rear end fly out from underneath me.

if your car is lowered or higher than stock, it will push the rear axle over to one side of the car due to the arc that the panhard bar swings.. an aftermarket adjustable bar allows you to compensate for this.

Worry about if your tires are centered in the wheel well, not what they look like by the ground fx. Measure from the tire to the fender lip and see if its equal on both sides
