Heidts strut tower brace

I had all but given up on anybody knowing how to make a proper strut tower brace. I was about to have one custom made when I stumbled across this piece from Heidts. Best strut tower brace I have ever seen.

The one pictured in their online catalog doesn't look anywhere near the one in your link.

Maybe it's just a generic image.

They have two types: Adjustable and fixed. The one you found is the adjustable. The one I bought is the fixed.

Does it bolt straight on?
No drilling etc.?

Re: Heidts strut tower brace

Do you see holes in your car? Of course you have to make holes!

I ended up returning it because it was too tall for the hood.

Re: Heidts strut tower brace

I have mounted strut braces on several European sports cars, but always used excisting holes/bolts.
Drilling holes to make a brace fit, will weaken the construction, and won't stiffen anything, so bad design/idea.

Think about the "Wonderbar", no need to drill anything, just maybe need longer bolts, that's a good design.

Re: Heidts strut tower brace

Holes literally do not matter as long as it is small enough and there is enough material around the hole. The factory drills holes and you can too.
